x19....Division is really God's multiplication!
One of the great "fears" that leadership in churches has, is that the church will "split". They are very often worried that some people within the church will rise up and usurp their power.
But when we look at the way these "splits" happen--and consult the will of God in the situation--we would see it from a different point of view..What usually happens in these situations is that a person or people in the church start to get "fed up" with their ministry being constrained under someone else's (the pastor). The root of this is that in the church we do not recognize that ministry gifts are given "unto every one of us"--that we are all meant to love and serve the Lord.
there are so many encouragements in this area in the Word of God--that when a person starts to devote themselves to study of the Word--and when they pray in the Spirit--when they begin to move in the gifts that God has given them--when they start to understand their anointing --the gift of Christ--they are likely to rub up against the tradition that says that only the leadership in a church can do ministry---this is a totally unBiblical tradition.
But ministry is not leadership, and leadership isn't what you think!!!! Says the Lord
So the result is that ministry ends up looking like rebellion. It is from this above statement that we can glean from and understand the character of the enemy. He knows all too well we will not shrink back from ministry, we believe to be of God, but ministry that is rebellion we fear. He poses as righteousness, let us not be surprised, that we find him lurking here in the church. He transformed himself once again into a beacon of light, hiding as Gods supposed authority, ready to stop your ministry and the move of God in our midst. Notice the perversion, the inversion of Gods word and truth, this is the enemy all over. Notice that it is all legal, notice that all the loose ends of bureaucracy are fastened up. Notice not hardly a voice can be raised against that authority. So its a nice little package for now, but notice how he crumples and dies in the face of truth and exposure to Gods word, and most importantly, Gods word , Alive in us.
Why don't we ask God what he is trying to do?
What is perceived by leadership as division is really God's way of multiplying the church.--of Growing His body. In fact this is the purpose of ministry gifts--
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: (Ephesians 4:11-12, KJV).
The purpose of these gifts is to edify the body--to "build" the body of Christ--to multiply the church! Often this has been taken as solely to fatten us Christians up, which isn't a bad thing, if it leads to ministry. But it often ends there. It just means to edify us, but it also means to build up the body. The world should be entering daily, as we devote ourselves daily to His will.
through the New testament, God wished to multiply and spread His word--thorough the voice of ministers--by "sending" (see "apostello") people to spread the word.
This is the way that Jesus Himself ran His ministry. He chose people--He taught them (they were first called disciples--students)--and then He sent them..
Mr 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits;
Mt 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Jesus did not consider this to be church division. The early church understood this principle and spread the gospel in the same way...
Tit 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee:
they went to cities all over and began churches--and they understood that this was the primary calling of God--that this is the the way Jesus began the work that they considered necessary to complete--to continue to spread the Gospel--but they had to believe and understand hat God had given the gifts necessary to speak His word. We need a serious education combined with faith on the gifts He has given us to spread this to the world. The enemy has gained so much ground in spreading his cloak of deception and ignorance here. We need to be taught and believe we have all the tools we need to go forth as the Lord has commanded. Not only are we hamstrung, we are intimidated and separated. The enemy has weakened Gods army for sure, but we can take it all back as we learn the truth in the word. Once we believe by faith that we have what we need, the enemy will be defeated.
God created nature to work this way. Every living being grows by division of cells. When we understand the correlation of the the church as being the body of Christ in the earth--we can clearly see that Jesus grew His ministry be dividing what He had--and thus multiplying and spreading he word.
the truth is that this is how the word of God has always spread--and will always spread..whether or not we recognize this and utilize it the way the Lord would like and the way he has shown us by the example and the example of the Bible is another thing. the thing that stand in the way of this system is the tradition of man's authority within the church.
So, when God is raising up ministry within a church body--they recognized that it was His sign to multiply the move of God
Unfortunately, the traditions we have in our churches today look at God' plan for multiplication as division!
