1. Is it in the Bible?

2. What do we believe it means?

In order to be a minster, one must serve under a "spiritual father" and this is what sonship is.

3. What does it really mean?

Ga 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

This idea is often "read into" examples from the old testament. Yes, in the old covenant, Israel opeRated though an earthly government (only because of theIR disobedience!) and withIn the context of this government, there was the idea of a handing down of rulership.

Since we insist that "ministry" is a type of rulerhsip over others within the church (our first mistake!) then we beleive that it is handed down in this same way.

The bible in the new covenant does not agree with this concpet at all.

In the new covenant we are all ministers and all sons and daughters of God Himself. This call by itself is far higher than any foolish concept of human "sonship".

"Ministry" is NOT authority over others--it is the gift of serving others, and we are all meant to operate in it. Yes, there are different gifts, but they are meant to work together as God decides.

The church is meant to be a group of equals, serving God together, and doing all possible to let Him be the Head.
